In order for a title to become Whispersync for Voice or Immersion Reading ready, both pieces of content must be paired together and extensively tested to make sure they sync properly. While there may be several editions of both the Audible audiobook or Kindle eBook, these editions have not been precisely paired and therefore will not sync across devices or work together in any way. I spoke to at least 6 people in that time. No explanation, no acknowledgement that anything changed. They just kept punting me back and forth. I spent hours of chat with Amazon and audible. So book 1 is free to read and listen ($1.99 to buy), book 2 doesn't have a free to listen audible companion and is $7.49 to buy, book 3 is listen free/ buy $1.99, book 4 costs $7.49, no free listen.

One series seems to jump every other book on the program and off. I upgraded my account, then June 1st all of those previously free to listen, $1.99 to buy books jumped to $7.49. May 31st I checked and everything was good, pricing where it was during my research. I found a ton that I was interested in at the free to listen, $1.99 to buy price point. I researched quite a few more books in that program, with an eye to the audible discounts because I have a long commute. I decided to give Kindle unlimited a try because they were all read and listen free under that program. I had a series I was eyeing that was all at $1.99 to buy the audible in May. Something is definitely going on, and it started June 1st.
